I think that would be more effective in making people understand that they really have nothing to fear from American Muslims. We, just like any other American, however white, however black, just want to live our lives in peace and freedom.Ossama Ansarihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10595710759927828376noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8523449.post-13768203530764218752010-09-23T20:51:55.762-04:002010-09-23T20:51:55.762-04:00I agree with you 100% Charley.I agree with you 100% Charley.Naushhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04317045885174044265noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8523449.post-73937184855446888572010-09-23T20:49:56.933-04:002010-09-23T20:49:56.933-04:00Naush,
I agree with you, but I'd also like to...Naush,

I agree with you, but I'd also like to point out that the mass media is the one inflating the issue of Islamophobia in the U.S. I obviously can't speak for everyone, but I think most Muslims would agree that it is the sensationalist 24 hour news networks that are spewing and forcing the fear of Islam upon us. If one turns on the news, or reads the newspaper, it seems like the only thing that matters is what issue Americans should be afraid of next. The stark reality, I believe, is that the majority of Muslims live and worship peacefully and without discrimination in the U.S. Also, I believe the Florida Qur'an burning debate a few weeks ago was drastically over analyzed and publicized, although you may disagree. I think you are correct in saying that Islamophobia doesn't matter, but I think it is also given too much coverage, and thereby propagated, by the media.Charleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05573626334957917721noreply@blogger.com
